Benefits of mobile therapy

Mobile speech therapy is not just easier for your family; there are actually a lot of therapeutic benefits.

Here are 4 benefits of mobile therapy:

1. Children are more comfortable in their own setting. In the home, preschool or school environment children feel more secure and happy, when compared to an unfamiliar clinical setting. This helps them to better engage in therapy activities and enjoy the sessions.

2. Practicing therapy goals in functional activities leads to greater outcomes. At home or school visits we work with parents and teachers to demonstrate how to practise therapy skills in real everyday situations. This makes it easier to get practise in during the week and helps your child achieve their goals faster.

3. Research shows that therapy in natural settings increases generalisation of skills. This means that the skills your child is working on are quickly adapted into their everyday life.

4. Less time taken out of your week. You are able to be involved in the sessions, whilst also being at home for other children or urgent things that you need to do.
